China will cut the number of climbers attempting to scale Mount Everest from the north by a third this year as part of plans for a major clean-up on the world‘s highest peak。
今年,中国将把试图从北坡攀登珠峰的人数减少三分之一。这是大规模清理这座世界最高峰计划中的一部分。
The total number of climbers attempting to reach the summit the world‘s highest peak at 8,850 metres (29,035ft) from the north will be limited to fewer than 300 and the climbing season restricted to spring, state media reports said。
据官方媒体报道,试图攀登这座海拔约8850米的世界最高峰的人数,将被控制在300人以内。且仅限春季登山。

真敢于去登峰的人,或许只是少数。
但各路仅是来到珠峰的游客们,包括那些去珠峰大本营“到此一游”的围观群众,那可就多了去了……
Parts of Everest are in China and Nepal。 Each year, about60,000 climbers and guides visit the Chinese north side of the mountain, which China refers to by its Tibetan name, Mount Qomolangma。

据了解,2018年以来,自治区组织清理珠峰保护区海拔5200米以上的垃圾8.4吨。
日喀则市珠峰管理局副局长格桑表示,保护珠峰是我们义不容辞的责任,我们将严守生态保护红线,全力保护好珠峰国家级自然保护区,进一步筑牢国家生态安全屏障。
